This Privacy Policy explains how the Budgenie app (”Budgenie”, “we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles your information. Budgenie is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking app. Your privacy matters to us, and this app is designed to keep your financial data private and on your own device.

Budgenie does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use the app. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking software.

  1. Data You Enter and Where It Is Stored

Any information you enter into Budgenie, such as transactions, amounts, categories, descriptions, budgets, savings goals, account (profile) names, and your chosen currency, decimal, language, and theme preferences, is stored locally on your device only. This data is not sent to us or to any external server. Because the data lives on your device, we have no access to it and cannot view, recover, or restore it.

  1. How Your Information Is Used

The information you enter is used solely to provide the app’s features to you, such as displaying your balances, statistics, spending trends, budgets, and savings goals. Your data is never used for any other purpose.

  1. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third party. Since your data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share.

  1. Device Permissions

Budgenie does not require access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photos to function. If a future version of the app requests any permission, it will only be used for the feature it supports and will be clearly explained at that time.

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove data at any time by deleting individual entries within the app, or by deleting the app, which removes all associated local data from your device. Deleting the app is permanent and cannot be undone.

Budgenie is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
